Now back to the post…
My husband makes fun of me for my hippie-ness, but after 14 years I’d like to think he’s sorta getting used to it. Well, he loves me and that’s all that matters, right? {Thanks for putting up with me, babe!} One of the “hippie” things I dig is a good essential oil. My hubby would much rather just pop a pill but my body has a negative reaction to a lot of medications, so essential oils have become a go-to remedy for me.
Before I start, I’m going to say something that might make people mad, so hold on to your autoship! When it comes to essential oils I am not brand loyal. *Gasp!* Sorry, MLMers, love me anyway ok?
I have done a ton of study over the years and I feel that, eek, there isn’t one perfect company. But, there are several great ones to purchase E.O.’s from, so I’m going to leave that debate up to everybody else and tell you to use whatever brand makes your heart sing.
That being said, it’s always a good idea to look into 3rd party testing and see what oils rate the highest. As you can see HERE, many companies have the occasional issue with an oil or two. Like I said, no company is perfect so do what is best for you, peeps.
Phew!
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, I want to show you how easy it is to make your own essential oil inhalers!
Yep, that’s it!
In just a matter of minutes you can make an essential oil inhaler that is specific to your own personal needs.
If the pictures didn’t explain enough and you still have questions, check out this video tutorial by Andrea Butje from Aromahead.
She’s an absolute wealth of information!
I love her blog, youtube channel, and all her great essential oil recipes, blends, and ideas.
I love using inhalers with my essential oils.
My favorite is probably one I make for congestion because eucalyptus is the bomb.
Now grab some blanks and try it out!
What a FABULOUS idea! No mess too – that’s my biggest problem with oils. I smear it all over and then I’m a big oily mess. Love this idea!
I think I will be making these soon. Lavender and chamomile are our favorite combo.
What a great idea! We use essential oils all the time with our students. They would really benefit from an inhaler. I’ll have to share this with our parents and students so they can create their own at home. Wonderful information!
Inhalers are great for kids because the oils are not directly on the skin which can cause allergic reaction or hypersensitivity. Good luck with your students, I’d love to hear if any families find them helpful!
