Homemade Brown Sugar

- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp molasses
Pour granulated sugar into a stand mixer. {You can also do this by hand with a whisk if you are in a pinch and want to strengthen your muscles!}
Turn on the mixer and slowly drizzle in molasses. Keep mixing until combined.
Add molasses until the sugar is the depth and color desired.
Use as you would store bought brown sugar.
Store in an air tight container.
This recipe is as simple as it gets! You can make as little or as much as you'd like! If you'd like dark brown sugar, simply add more molasses.
**If doing it by the pound, it’s about ¼ c. molasses per pound for light brown sugar and ½ c. per pound for dark brown sugar
