Miss Kourtnie P’s Chunky Spiced Applesauce
A delicious chunky style homemade applesauce that’s perfect for canning or freezing!
  1. Wash and prep apples
  2. Peel, core, and slice apples
  3. Chop apples into quarters. Dunk apple quarters in a container of water and fruit fresh or pineapple juice to keep color bright until all the apples are prepped
  4. Drain apple quarters and place in a large pot then add 1 1/2 cups water and the lemon juice. Cook down 25 minutes on medium heat until desired consistency
  5. Add brown sugar and spices then cook for 5 more minutes
  6. Ladle into jars, wipe rims, then screw on prepared lids and bands
  7. Process 20 minutes, adjusting to your altitude
